    室內打造出黝黑膚色

As the world becomes increasingly obsessed with tanning, Asia is no exception. The sun-kissed look has become a symbol of health and vitality, and young men and women all over the continent are eager to achieve that coveted golden glow. However, for those living in bustling cities like Hong Kong, finding the time to bask in the sun can be a challenge. The daily hustle and bustle leaves little room for leisurely beach trips, and just when we finally have a free day, our skin has already reverted to its original tone, leaving us feeling frustrated and stuck with lackluster skin. But fear not, there are solutions to achieve that sun-kissed look without sacrificing your busy schedule.

Let’s end the frustration by Bondi Sands’ Self-Tanners and get that perfect tan anytime, anywhere!

Bondi Sands Self Tanners - Tan Indoors!

If you're new to the world of fake tans, the prospect of applying self-tanner can be downright intimidating. But fear not, because Bondi Sands has got your back. With their range of tanning products, you can bring the carefree Australian beach vibe to your doorstep and achieve a natural-looking, healthy tan that will have you feeling like a beach babe in no time.

Not only are Bondi Sands' products easy to use, but they're also made with the environment in mind. The brand is proudly vegan and cruelty-free, so you can feel good about using their products knowing that they were made with ethics in mind.

Thanks to Spot On, you can now get your hands on Bondi Sands' Gradual Tanning Foam and Light/Medium Tanning Lotion, both of which are suitable for Asian skin tones. Even if you're a first-time self-tanner, you'll fall in love with the natural, smooth tan that these products provide. Say goodbye to uneven, streaky tans and hello to a gorgeous, sun-kissed glow all year round

    Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Foam

    Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Foam

Those of you looking for a slower tanning process or if you want to better gauge the level of tan you want should choose Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Foam.

Apply the foam evenly onto your skin and rub into it in circular motions. Over the course of 6 hours you will gradually notice the results. Repeat this for several more days until you see the tan you want or you have reached full saturation.

We called on volunteers to try and test this product and below are the results after 3 days.

From the pictures, you can see that using Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Foam alone does not give you a perfect bronze skin tone, but it can help darken your skin in a natural way. If you're new to tanning, you might want to try out Gradual Tanning Foam first to see if it suits you before going all in with Bondi Sands Self Tanning Lotion.

Once you've got the skin tone you want with the gradual tanning foam, it's a good idea to keep using it every 2-3 days to keep the effect going. Without reapplication, the tan will fade after about 3-5 days and your skin will go back to its usual color.

As you can see, the effects of the Self Tanning Lotion are much more noticeable than the Gradual Tanning Foam, but there are a few steps to follow for you to achieve an even tan. So before you get started, make sure to read the instructions below.

How to Use Bondi Sands Self Tanning Lotion?

Step 1. Exfoliate, Shave and Moisturise

The dead cells on the outer layer of our skin (stratum corneum) and hair can make your tan look uneven, to ensure that these areas are fully prepared, it's crucial to give them the attention they need. Use body scrubs or a bath ball to exfoliate before proceeding to the next step - shaving.

Remember, exfoliated skin can be extra sensitive, so be careful not to cut yourself when you shave. And guys, if you're not into shaving body hair, no worries! Just make sure you apply self-tanning lotion as evenly as you can on hairy skin.

Once you're done shaving, don't forget to moisturize your skin for a bright and beautiful tan the next day!

If you forgot to do all these the day before, try to wait at least 2-3 hours after exfoliating and shaving before applying the self-tanning lotion. This will help prevent the lotion from seeping into your pores too much. And if you're doing all of these steps in one day, do not moisturise your whole body - that could mess up your tan! We'll give you all the details on how to do this right below.

Step 2. Take a Shower and Dry Completely

Before using Bondi Sands Self Tanning Lotion, be sure to shower and dry your body thoroughly. Any leftover body oils can weaken the tanning effect.

If you've already done Step 1 the day before, you can jump right into tanning once you're dry. But if you're doing everything on the same day, it's a good idea to apply a thin layer of moisturiser to your palms, soles, elbows, and knees. These areas are generally drier, and the tanning lotion tends to grab on these areas and they will end up looking darker than the rest of your skin. Using moisturiser to help even things out for an all-over glorious tan.

Step 3. Apply on Body with a Smooth Towel

Alright, it's time for the main event: applying that self-tanning lotion! We recommend using a tanner application mitt to apply the lotion to your upper body. If you don’t have one, use a smooth towel as an alternative, a swimming microfiber towel would be a great choice. Since the lotion is dark brown, it's best to use a darker towel or one you won't mind getting stained.

We do not recommend using a normal towel for application. The fibre of a normal towel is too coarse and it wouldn’t be easy to get an even tan. And we know you’re wondering if you can just apply it with your bare hands, but the answer is no, if you don’t want your palms to be a lot darker than other parts of your body.

When it comes to applying self-tanning lotion, it's important to use long, sweeping motions to ensure even coverage on your legs, arms, and body. However, when it comes to your back, it's best to enlist the help of a family member or partner. If you don't have anyone available to assist you, you'll need to stretch your arms and shoulders and do your best to apply the lotion evenly across your entire back. Be sure to use a full-length mirror to check for any missed spots and ensure that your tan is flawless from every angle.

Step 4. Wait till Dry before Putting on Clothes

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Lotion dries super fast, so there’s no need to be naked for long - phew! But if you're still worried it's not completely dry, you can lightly pat some loose powder or baby powder on your skin.

Wear loose, dark clothes after applying self tanners
Wear loose, dark clothes after applying self tanners

We recommend wearing loose, dark-colored clothes on the day you apply the lotion. Although Bondi Sands tanning lotion’s color transfer is minimal, tight clothing or rubbing against clothes can wear the tan off, especially within the same day of application. And if you're worried about colour transfer on your sheets, try wearing loose-fit, long-sleeved pajamas or use dark sheets.

To sum up, the key to avoiding colour transfer are: 1. Don’t wear your favourite outfit after application. 2. Wear loose, dark colour clothing and use dark colour sheets just in case!

Step 5. Wash Your Body in 1-8 Hours

Once you've applied Bondi Sands Self Tanning lotion, you can wash it off after just 1 hour if you're in a rush. But if you're looking for a darker skin tone, you can leave the lotion on for up to 8 hours before washing it off. That way, you can control how deep your tan gets.

Pro tip: For the darkest skin tone possible, reapply half an hour after the first application and then wash it off after 8 hours. If you're looking for a really dark tan, this is the way to do it!

    Tips to Maintain Your Tan

So, the self-tanning effect of Bondi Sands Self Tanning Lotion stays on the top layer of your skin (the epidermis), which means it gradually fades as your skin renews itself. If you want to keep that gorgeous tan for as long as possible, here are some tips to slow down the rate at which your skin cells shed.

First things first: avoid using scrubs or bath balls when you shower or bathe - they can speed up the process of shedding dead skin cells. And in general, be gentle with your skin and don't rub it too hard.

Even though you would love to go swimming with the nice tan from Bondi Sands, prolonged exposure to chlorinated or sea water can cause the tan to fade a little sooner. Be mindful of how long you spend in the pool or sea. Excessive and regular sweating would have the same effect on your tan, so try to stay in an air-conditioned room when you work out.

For daily maintenance, use a soft towel to gently pat your skin dry after showering - especially on the first day after using the self-tanning lotion. And make sure to moisturize your skin with lotion to keep it hydrated and prevent it from getting dry and flaky.

If you notice that your tan starts fading, use Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Foam to maintain your skin tone while also giving it a boost of hydration and radiance.

    FAQ

What’s the science behind self-tanning products?

The effect of DHA in self-tanning products
The effect of DHA in self-tanning products

The ingredient that makes your skin darker in self-tanning products is called dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA reacts with the nitrogen in the amino acids on the top layer of your skin (the epidermis) to create brown compounds that give you that golden glow. The process is called a Maillard reaction. As your skin naturally sheds, the tan will gradually fade and your skin will turn back to its original tone.

    Is Bondi Sands safe?

Absolutely! The ingredients in Bondi Sands are non-toxic and only react with the top layer of your skin, so there are no permanent or long-term effects (though after your first tan you may well want it to stay). The whole range of Bondi Sands can be used on your face, even during pregnancy! Bondi Sands is suitable for anyone in any situation, except for use on the breasts while breastfeeding.

If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend doing a patch test on a small area before using it all over your body to make sure you're not allergic. And if you're still worried about any potential health effects, you can always check with your doctor first.
